Volunteer Opportunities
Get involved and make a difference in your community! Volunteers are needed in Esquimalt for:
- Council committees, boards, and commissions
- Parks and Recreation programs and special events
- Esquimalt Volunteer Services
- Emergency programs
Volunteer Appointments to Council Committees
Volunteer your time and expertise on one of seven Council committees. The committees play a vital role in advising Council and making policy and action recommendations.
Every fall, residents are invited to apply for vacant positions by submitting a brief resume describing their interests and experience and the Committee they are interested in serving on.

Volunteer Opportunities for Youth
Volunteer hours can be used to fulfill High School College Admission and Placement Profile (CAPP) requirements!

Esquimalt Volunteer Services
Our purpose is to provide one-on-one assistance to persons in need.
Our clients are all ages and live within the municipality of Esquimalt.
Our placements include: drives to medical appointments, friendly visiting, walking, recreation and reassuring phone calls.
Volunteers:
- You choose where and when.
- Our schedules are flexible, from a regular once-a-week drive to the occasional reassuring phone call.
- Be a part of a team who help improve the quality of life for people in need.
How to Register:
- Contact the Esquimalt Volunteer Services Coordinator at 412-8532.
- Meet with the coordinator.
- Provide two references and a criminal record check (at no charge to you).
- We’ll match you up and you can start making a difference.
Your gift of time and effort is a very special service to the community and to the individuals involved. Donations to the program will gratefully be accepted.
