Recycling

The Capital Regional District is responsible for curbside collection of recyclable materials in Esquimalt.

Blue Boxes and Blue Bags may be purchased at the Esquimalt Municipal Hall, the Esquimalt Recreation Centre or the Archie Browning Sports Centre. The cost is $4.00 per box and $ .50 per bag.

Community Recycling Depot

The Community Recycling Depot, operated by Pacific Mobile Depots, provides residents with an opportunity to recycle household items that are not allowed in curbside blue boxes: soft and hard plastics; styrofoam, milk and drink cartons; and electronics. Drop-off fees for residents will apply. The Depot takes place every second Saturday of the month (except June) from 10 am to 1 pm (until April 10) and 9 am to 12 noon (beginning May 8) in the back parking lot of the Archie Browning Sports Centre.
