All remaining scheduled meetings of the Esquimalt Policing and Law Enforcement Advisory Panel have been cancelled for 2012. The next scheduled meeting was set for July 4th, 2012.
Member appointments to the Esquimalt Policing and Law Enforcement Advisory Panel expire on June 30th, 2012. At the present time there is no indication from the Ministry of Justice that there will be extensions to these appointments, or that reappointments will occur.
The Panel was created by Order in Council # 303 in June of 2010 by the Ministry of Justice.
Esquimalt Council may appoint its own Select Advisory Committee on Policing and Law Enforcement at a future date.
