Welcome to the Esquimalt Gorge Park Pavilion
The building features remarkable Japanese-inspired architecture to complement the scenic Japanese Gardens. The building boasts a stunning second floor banquet/reception hall with breathtaking cedar beams and panoramic views of the Gorge Waterway.
The Esquimalt Gorge Pavilion was built in Esquimalt Gorge Park where it borders the Gorge Waterway and neighbours the expanded Japanese Garden. The Pavilion is a wonderful space for weddings, vow renewals, celebrations of life, conferences, and reunions to name a few. Learn more about the park's beginnings in 1907.
Sitting at 6000+ sq ft the Pavilion covers two floors, both with stunning views of the water. Each floor contains 3000 sq ft of rentable space along with a servery that includes prep counters, residential fridge, range, dishwasher and sink. The outer walls of the second floor have ceiling to floor windows overlooking the park and water way, as well as access to two balconies; one of which is 500sq ft and over looks the Japanese Gardens. The first floor can be divided into smaller sections of 1000 sq ft creating 3 separate rooms, each having access to the outer patio, and an additional boardroom with a sink.
Pavilion Fall facility hours:
- M-F: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Weekends: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location:
The building is located in Esquimalt Gorge Park (1070 Tillicum Road) and can be accessed on foot via park pathways, vehicle or bike. Bike racks are available.

Full Facility Booking Requests
Full facility booking requests for reservations up to December 31, 2025, are being accepted. Starting January 1, 2025, we will extend our full facility booking availability through December 31, 2026. To confirm your full facility reservation, a non-refundable deposit of $500 is required. Please note that rates may change. To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made at least 30 days prior to the event or the first day of the booking.
Individual Room Booking Requests
We are currently accepting individual room bookings for June through December 2024. Starting October 14, 2024, we will also begin accepting individual bookings for January through June 2025 this includes weekends only for July and August. To secure your reservation, a $500 refundable damage deposit and full payment are required at the time of booking. To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made at least 30 days before the event or the first day of the booking.
