Spring Break Camps

Spring Break Camps are offered between March 17-21 and March 24-28 for ages 5-11. There are a variety of camps to choose from including licensed childcare, outdoor playground camps, and extended morning and afternoon care. Participants will be involved in many activities such as swimming, outdoor games, crafts, group activities, trips to local parks and more! Descriptions of the camps can be found online and a more detailed daily schedule will be provided to registrants before the start date of their camp via email. Registration opens to the public on Monday, January 13th at 7AM. Spots are limited and will fill up fast. In order to secure a spot quickly, please ensure you have created an account and completed the 2025 Camp Emergency Form prior to registration.

Policies & additional registration information:

  • Withdrawal policy: 7 days notice is required to withdraw from any summer camp programs in order to receive a refund, no exceptions. 
  • Registration deadline for extended care. Extended care registration closes 1-week before camp begins, NO EXCEPTIONS. This allows our team to ensure appropriate staffing is available to accommodate all participants. 
  • Applying for the Affordable Child Care Benefit ACCB (Licensed camps only, Voyageurs/Buccaneers) - It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to apply for subsidy.  Please apply early as subsidy can take up to 3 months to be processed through the Ministry of Children & Family Development. Subsidy is available for licensed camps only. Please note:
    • Parents/guardians are required to pay for camp(s) until Esquimalt Recreation has received receipt and value of the subsidy approval. 
    • There is ALWAYS a parent portion (to fees).

All camp registrations are processed through the Esquimalt Recreation Centre, located at 527 Fraser Street or 250-412-8500.  Accepted payment methods: debit, credit card, or credit on account. 

Support & Inclusion:

If your child requires extra support or qualifies for funding through Supported Child Development or Aboriginal Supported Child Development, please fill out the Child Support/Inclusion Needs Intake Form below and email the OSC Supervisor at osc@esquimalt.ca prior to registration.

Affordable Childcare Benefit (ACCB)

* Applies to Licensed OSC camps only*

Eligible families can apply for the Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB) to reduce their licensed OSC Camp fees. To apply, request an ACCB Form by emailing OSC@esquimalt.ca  Parents are then responsible for submitting the form to ACCB. 

Parents/guardians are required to pay for camp(s) for the full amount until Esquimalt Recreation has received receipt and value of the ACCB approval. ACCB generally does not cover the full amount of parent fees. Please apply early as ACCB can take up to 3 months to be processed through the Ministry of Children & Family Development.
