About the Opportunity:
The Public Works Department is seeking a motivated individual to fill a full-time Purchasing Clerk position. Reporting to the Public Works Manager, this role will appeal to the candidate who enjoys applying their extensive knowledge of purchasing and inventory control to a broad range of processes. The incumbent will perform purchasing related to civil works and safety items; handle all aspects of shipping, receiving, and inventory control; oversee the municipal fleet’s fuel dispensing system; and manage the first aid records for Public Works.
Our Preferred Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma supplemented by completion of a recognized purchasing course, experience with accounts payable, and two years of related experience. Additionally, a class 5 driver’s licence and certification in first aid level 1, WHMIS, and forklift operation are required.
Salary: $32.35 – $34.89 hourly plus benefits
Hours per week: 40
