About our Organization:

The Archie Browning Sports Centre is a multi-use facility, which includes an ice arena, a six-sheet curling rink, lounge areas, and the Township of Esquimalt Parks and Recreation Administrative Office. 

The Esquimalt Recreation Centre is a multi-purpose wellness and community recreation facility. Features of the Recreation Centre include: 4500 + square foot Wellness Centre, featuring state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment, gymnasium, aquatic centre with six-lane 25 metre lap pool, warm “lifestyle pool” and tot pool with spray features, wheelchair accessible hot-tub, steam room, and sauna. In addition, to recreation activities and programs, there are hundreds of year-round community programs to choose from.

About the Opportunity:

The Recreation Department is seeking a motivated individual to fill two auxiliary bartender positions, reporting to the Community Development Programmer.

Our Preferred Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have completed a Bartender Course, or have previous bartending experience, and hold a valid Serving it Right Certification. 

Other qualifications include:

  • Cash handling experience
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Clean Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector check. 

Salary: $18.58 – $20.09 hourly plus 14% in lieu of benefits (2024 rates)
