About our Organization:

The Esquimalt Recreation Centre is a multi-purpose wellness and community recreation facility. Features of the Recreation Centre include: 4500 + square foot Wellness Centre, featuring state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment, gymnasium, aquatic centre with six-lane 25 metre lap pool, warm “lifestyle pool” and tot pool with spray features, wheelchair accessible hot-tub, steam room, and sauna.

About the Opportunity:

The Recreation Department is seeking motivated individuals to fill a Birthday Party Host position. This is an auxiliary position. Scheduled shifts are Saturdays and Sundays between 1:00pm and 4:00pm. Reporting to the Child, Youth & Family Programmer, the preferred candidate will be responsible for:

  • The set-up and clean-up of the parties
  • Supervising the bouncy castle,
  • Interacting with parents and engaging the children in games and activities.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • First Aid (CPR-C)
  • Clear criminal record check from the Ministry of Justice
  • Experience working with/supervising children
  • Customer service experience
  • A clear and current criminal record check with vulnerable sector check is a condition of employment and is the financial responsibility of the candidate.

  • SALARY: $18.10 hourly plus 14% in lieu of benefits (2024 rates)
