The media and the public are invited to attend. Opening remarks and acknowledgement of project partners will begin promptly at 12:30, followed by the “Grand Opening Splash” and cake cutting.
Mayor Barbara Desjardins will officially open this innovative addition to Esquimalt Parks by triggering the ceremonial splash.
Esquimalt’s popular Community Block Party will follow the grand opening in the parking lot just east of the Adventure Park. This annual party celebrates a strong, resilient community through building relationships – and the focus is on family-friendly fun.
Event parking is available at the Archie Browning Sports Centre. The Esquimalt Recreation Centre parking lot will be closed to vehicle traffic, with the exception of a limited number of accessible parking spaces.
