An audit of the Esquimalt Fire Department has been received by Esquimalt Council for review. The audit, focusing on organization, culture and processes within the department, was undertaken by Ted Hughes, B.C.’s former Conflict of Interest Commissioner.
A news conference is scheduled for today at 1:00 p.m. to address issues arising from the audit. Mayor Barb Desjardins, Chief Administrative Officer Laurie Hurst and Human Resources Manager Pat Mulcahy will all be in attendance.
