Updated March 20, 2014
Due to a final shipment of garbage and kitchen scraps bins missing a component, some residents have not yet received their new bins. It is expected that the bins will be delivered by Friday, March 21st, 2014. If you have not received your bins by this date please contact Wayne Martin at 250-414-7158.
The new semi-automatic garbage trucks have been delivered and are now being used for picking up sorted garbage.
Bungee cords are available at Municipal Hall for those residents who are concerned about the possibility of racoons or other animals getting into their bins,
For those residents who need assistance with their bins, the Township has developed a Residential Solid Waste Assistance Program. Read more about the program and download an application form here. Any residents unsure of where to place their bins for pick-up can contact the Public Works Department at 250-414-7108 to arrange for a site visit.
The Township of Esquimalt Public Works Department would like to thank the residents of Esquimalt for their support and cooperation during the transition to sorted garbage and kitchen scraps collection.
