The Township of Esquimalt Council has modernized the way it distributes Statutory Public Notices to maximize the number of residents it reaches.
Recent revisions to the Community Charter provide additional options for the Township of Esquimalt to notify the public about a variety of matters including, but not limited to, public hearings, official community plan amendments, land disposition, Council’s annual meeting schedule, and election notices. These notices help raise community awareness of these matters and outline how the public may provide input to Council to help inform their decision-making.
Advertising in the newspaper is now optional. Residents and businesses are encouraged to sign up to the email notice list that will deliver public notices right to one's inbox.
