Residents and commuters can expect some minor delays along Craigflower Road between Lampson Street and Arm Street as the corridor is improved as part of the Craigflower Road Corridor Upgrade Project. There will also be traffic interruptions at Lampson Street between Transfer Street and Craigflower Road as well as Carrie Road between Craigflower Road and Colville Road.
Lane closure notices will be issued by the contractor, Brunnell Construction Ltd, when required. Any lane closures will take place during the off-peak hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Phase 3 of the project includes sidewalk installation along Craigflower Road, roadway improvements and overlay from Lampson to Arm Street, and the installation of two storm water management structures (Lampson Street and Carrie Street).
The upgrade is expected to be completed by September 6th, 2012, and will result in an improved pedestrian network and road surface, and environmental protection of the Gorge Waterway.
The Township thanks residents and commuters for their patience, and reminds drivers to reduce speeds in construction zones and watch for work crews.
