Public Notice Bylaw - Regular Council meeting on May 27, 2024

At the regular Council meeting scheduled to be held on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, Esquimalt Municipal Hall, 1229 Esquimalt Road, the Council of the Township of Esquimalt will consider adoption of Public Notice Bylaw, 2024, No. 3136. 

The bylaw provides for alternative means of public notice to better align with the various ways in which the public receives communication and as permitted by amendments from the Provincial Government to the Community Charter and Local Government Act.

Members of the public may provide comments for Council’s consideration by:

1. Submitting written comments by 12:00 p.m. on May 27, 2024. All correspondence submitted will form part of the public record and may be published in a meeting agenda. Comments may be submitted by:
   • Emailing comments to [email protected]
   • Mailing comments to 1229 Esquimalt Road, Esquimalt, BC, V9A 3P1
   • Delivering comments to the drop box by the main entrance to Municipal Hall, 1229 Esquimalt Road.
2. Speaking to the bylaw in person at the meeting during Public Input.
3. Registering to speak during the meeting via telephone by contacting Corporate Services at 250-414-7177 prior to 4:30 p.m. on May 27, 2024.
