The Township of Esquimalt today announced that the home and garden contest launched during its centennial year will be held again in 2013. The Bloomin’ Beautiful Home and Garden Contest will run from May through August with five home and garden categories.
“This is a continuing legacy of the Esquimalt Shines contest held during our 2012 centennial celebrations,” said Mayor Barb Desjardins. “It is another great opportunity for residents and business owners to showcase their efforts and pride in beautifying the community. Bloomin Beautiful promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s contest.”
Contest categories include: large garden, small garden, façade, environmental practices, and curb appeal. UPDATE: Contest registration is open until July 30, 2013 and nominees will be judged August 5 – 16, 2013. Winners in each category will be announced September 16, 2013.
To enter, fill out a nomination form and fax or deliver it to Esquimalt Parks and Recreation prior to July 15, 2013.
