The Township of Esquimalt has published a new walking tour booklet with updated information, photos and maps. The 20-page booklet is in a handy new format that pulls seven previously published walking tour brochures together, along with a locator map, for easy reference.
The walking tours were developed in 2009 by local historian and author Sherri Robinson, who has been updating tour information every year since then to reflect ongoing changes in the community.
Robinson worked with Township staff to adapt the previously published brochures into the new format. The booklet also includes a number of recent photographs taken by local photographer Frances Litman.
Each tour includes a map indexed to descriptive text as well as historic and scenic photographs relevant to the individual tour.
The booklets will be available at municipal hall and other Township facilities, and individual tours have also been posted to the Township website here.
