The City of Victoria is currently undergoing its annual water main flushing and this will include Esquimalt. Each year, Victoria’s water mains are “flushed” to remove sediment and deliver high quality drinking water.
During this three-month program, which began in February, some water discolouration can be expected and short periods of low water
pressure may be experienced. To prevent any staining from discoloured water, run tap water until clear.
Commercial establishments such as laundromats, beauty salons, hotels and restaurants, are invited to contact
the Manager of Waterworks at 250.361.0422 for further details and advance warning of flushing dates in their
specific location.
