The next 2022 Local Government Election is scheduled for October 15, 2022.
A Mayor, six (6) Councillors and nine (9) School Trustees will be elected for a four (4) year term in the 2022 election.
The School District Trustees Election will be conducted by the Township of Esquimalt. Information on the Trustee Elections can be found at the Greater Victoria School district website.
Two Advance Voting opportunities are scheduled for October 5 and 12, 2022, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm at Esquimalt Recreation Centre, 527 Fraser St, Esquimalt.
General Voting Day is scheduled for October 15, 2022, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm at Esquimalt Recreation Centre, 527 Fraser St, Esquimalt.

The deadline for voting by mail ballot has now passed. All qualified electors can vote on General Voting Day, Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Esquimalt Recreation Centre, 527 Fraser Street from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The Township of Esquimalt will be using the Provincial Voters List for the 2022 general local elections. You can check to see if you are a registered voter by visiting the Elections BC Online Voter Registration website.
You can register to vote or update your information at the link above. Additionally, eligible voters will be able to register at the time of voting.
If you are 16 or 17 years old, you can pre-register by adding your name to the province's Future Voters List.
Elector Organizations must register with Elections BC.
Non-resident property electors may register in relation to one property only, and if more than one person owns the property, only one owner may register to vote, as long as they have the written consent of a majority of all registered owners (original signatures required). No corporation may be registered as an elector or have a representative registered as an elector as no corporation is entitled to vote.
