As a result of vandalism, the Esquimalt portion of the West Bay Walkway will be temporarily closed during night-time hours until crews complete repairs to walkway lighting. The work involves rewiring light standards and is expected to take approximately ten days to complete. The walkway will remain open during daylight hours.
Signage is posted near the Head Street entrance to the walkway, and south of Barnard Park, reminding walkway users of the temporary dusk to dawn closure.
An information update will be posted to the municipal website and social media channels once the repair work is completed.
