Recycling: CRD Curbside Blue Box Program
The Capital Regional District manages residential pick-up of blue box recycling in Esquimalt. Find out more about the CRD'S Blue Box Program, including up-to-date schedules and acceptable materials, at www.crd.bc.ca/bluebox. At the site you can also download a smartphone app to sign up for text, email and phone reminders.
You can also phone the CRD Recycling Hotline at 250-360-3030 for more information. Contact GFL Environmental to request a new or replacement CRD blue box or blue bag and to report missed recycling collection at 236-470-0186.
Extra garbage & recycling drop off locations
The Hartland landfill is owned and operated by the CRD. Many recyclable and reusable materials are accepted for free, and other materials are pay-by-weight. Learn more.
