About our Organization:

The Esquimalt Recreation Centre is a multi-purpose wellness and community recreation facility. Features of the Recreation Centre include: 4500 + square foot Wellness Centre, featuring state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment, gymnasium, aquatic centre with six-lane 25 metre lap pool, warm “lifestyle pool” and tot pool with spray features, wheelchair accessible hot-tub, steam room, and sauna. In addition, to recreation activities and programs, there are hundreds of year-round community programs to choose from.

About the Opportunity:

The Recreation Department is seeking a motivated individual to fill a Birthday Party Host position. This is an auxiliary position with scheduled shifts on Saturdays and Sundays between 1:00pm and 4:00pm. Reporting to the Recreation Programmer – Child, Youth, and Family Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • The set-up and clean-up for the parties
  • Supervising the bouncy castle
  • Interacting with parents and engaging the children in games and activities.
Our Preferred Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • First Aid with CPR-C
  • Clear criminal record check including vulnerable sector check
  • Experience working with and supervising children
  • Customer service experience.
Salary: $18.10 hourly plus 14% in lieu of benefits (2024 rates)
