Construction will begin the week of July 9th at Lampson Park (Lampson Ball Fields) after public voted on their preferred playground to be installed.
Park enhancements go beyond the playground and will include:
- grading of the park to create a more usable and accesible open space;
- additional trees and gardens and;
- a new picnic area and park bench.
Anticipated project completion is late summer/early fall. Minimal distribution to the public is expected; the existing playground will remain open during construction. Should there be any exception to this, closures will be very short-term and notices will be posted at the park.

Lampson Park, also referred to as Lampson Ball Fields, is located off of Lampson, by the intersection of Lampson and Transfer (nearby Colville). Current park amenities include: two baseball diamonds, seasonal concession and washrooms, playground and short walking trails.
Pictured: The additional playground, as selected by community voting, to be installed at Lampson Park. The existing play structures including the swings will remain.
