ORIGINAL NOTIFICATION:
August 27, 2018
Weather permitting, crews will be paving Tillicum Road from Transfer Street to Craigflower Road from Tuesday, August 28 to Friday, August 31.
One lane in each direction should remain open on Tillicum Road, while Transfer Street will be single lane alternating.
The Township will make every effort to have the paving completed before the start of the school year on September 4, 2018, when traffic volume will increase on the corridor.
The work is part of the Tillicum Road Improvement Project which includes replacement of the road surface, curbs, gutters, pedestrian signals and sidewalks from Transfer Street to Craigflower Road on Tillicum Road. In addition, the crosswalk at the Transfer Street and Tillicum Road intersection will be upgraded, as well as a catch basin on the corridor.
All efforts will be made to minimize traffic disruption, and access will continue to be maintained for pedestrians and vehicles. Parking restrictions will continue to be in effect during working hours.
Drivers are advised to follow instructions of on-site traffic safety personnel and use alternate routes whenever possible.
