The Tillicum Road Improvement Project will commence on Wednesday June 6, 2018.
The project will include replacement of the road surface, curbs, gutters, pedestrian signals and sidewalks from Transfer Street to Craigflower Road on Tillicum Road. In addition, the crosswalk at the Transfer Street and Tillicum Road intersection will be upgraded, as well as a catch basin on the corridor. The work is expected to be completed by the end of August, 2018 (weather dependent).
All efforts will be made to minimize traffic disruption during construction and access will be maintained for pedestrians and vehicles. Parking restrictions will be in effect during working hours.
Transfer Street, the link road between Lampson and Tillicum, will be single lane alternating traffic between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Both lanes will be open before 9 a.m. and after 3 p.m.
One lane will remain open in each direction on Tillicum between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. During the morning commute, both lanes in each direction will be open until 9 a.m. One southbound lane on Tillicum may be closed after 3 p.m.
Drivers are advised to follow instructions of on-site traffic safety personnel and use alternate routes whenever possible.
