It's time for an open house!
The Township in the next phase of going out to the community to better understand parking needs in Esquimalt.
We appreciate your participation so far. This feedback—along with research and analysis—will help guide and support any updated plans and regulations.
We're encouraging renters to attend. Of the groups we've reached out to, including businesses and homeowners, renters are the group of people we have heard from the least so far. The input of all residents is important.
In this informal open house, you will see an overview of feedback to date and the resulting draft recommendations for the policy.
You'll be able to ask questions and share ideas with staff to help us refine the plan.
Drop-in open houses
- September 21: 1 p.m.-3 p.m.
- September 21: 5:30 p.m.-7:30p.m.
- Both are in the Kanaka Room, Esquimalt Recreation Centre. This is an accessible facility.

Parking regulations involve more than on- and off-street spaces; they involve facilities for bikes, guidelines for new developments, time limits on the street and more.
Learn about the project on our website: engagingesquimalt.ca/parking.
Key outcomes from this project will be:
* A new Public Parking Strategy to guide public parking resources and determine how best to manage its parking facilities
* An updated and modernized Parking Bylaw to ensure appropriate and desirable off-street parking conditions are achieved through land development
